Hello! I would just like to take this opportunity with this first post to welcome you to the new home of Ezekiel 3:18 Ministries and Watchman on the Wall. For those unfamiliar with the above passage of scripture, here it is starting with verse 17:
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. (KJV)
As Christians, we are the appointed watchmen of this age. According to the Great Commission, we have an obligation to warn the lost about impending judgment and the wrath to come so that they have an opportunity to repent and put their trust in the Saviour Jesus Christ. If we ignore that obligation, if we pass up every divine appointment to share the gospel with a lost soul, we will be held accountable at the Be-ma Seat of Christ; you can be sure of that.
The main goal of this ministry is to teach you what God’s word says about your obligation per the Great Commission and to help equip you to get the job done. The primary focus of this website is scriptural evangelism. Notice we say, “scriptural” evangelism. The reason we state it this way is because there are right and wrong methods of evangelism. Many churches and denominations try to teach that there is more than one way to evangelize. That statement is true only if the method used follows the Bible. If it doesn’t line up with scripture, it is wrong! For many of you this will be eye opening to say the least. For some of you, this teaching may sound familiar; especially if you have already had some experience with “The Way of the Master.”
While our primary focus is indeed scriptural evangelism, we also focus on discipleship training (following in the footsteps of Christ) and apologetics training (with emphasis on the topic of creation vs. evolution). We also try to the best of our ability using only scripture, to answer some of the most common and basic questions concerning church doctrine.
We hope that you find the information on this site useful as well as a blessing. We also welcome any support you may be able to provide to keep this ministry going, and we sincerely thank those that have already done so.
Yours in Christ,
Evangelist J.R. Stevens
