We believe in one God, manifested in three persons; God the Father, Jesus Christ his Son, and The Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. As such we believe it is inerrant in it’s substance, meaning and message.
We believe in six literal days of creation and that the book of Genesis is an accurate historical recording of events inspired by God, who was also an eyewitness.
We believe that we were created by God, in His image and likeness and that evolution had nothing to do with it.
We believe that we were created with free will but without the intervention of the Holy Spirit, man is incapable of exercising that free will correctly. While man is dead in trespasses and sin, he is unable and unwilling to choose God. Therefore, as scripture states, He chooses us, according to His will and good pleasure. Adam chose to exercise his own free will in opposition to what God had commanded. In making that choice, man separated himself from the perfect communion and fellowship he had experienced before the fall.
We believe that we all have sinned (broken God’s Holy Law) and that we fall short not only of God’s glory, but anything remotely resembling what God originally intended for our lives.
We believe the end result of sin is not only physical death, but spiritual death as well. The wages of sin is death.
We believe that God sent his only son Jesus into the world to live among us, to experience the same temptations and face the same obstacles we all experience on a daily basis. We believe that Jesus overcame all of these temptations and lived an absolutely sinless life.
We believe, according to scripture, that in order for us to be pardoned and to bring us back into full communion with God, a supreme sacrifice had to be made in our place. We believe that Jesus Christ was that sacrifice and through his death and resurrection, we have the opportunity to once again be called Sons of God and receive eternal life.
We believe that after rising from the dead, Christ ascended to heaven and took his place at the right hand of God. We also believe that in his place, he sent the Holy Spirit to empower the church in it’s primary mission and to open the hearts of men to receive the truth and turn back to God.
We believe that we are saved only by God’s grace and not by any of our own efforts. There is nothing we can do in and of ourselves to earn eternal life. It is only by His grace that we are truly forgiven and once again accepted into the family of God. We believe that we are saved by His grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone and that all glory belongs to God alone.
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ on earth and that the church is supposed to reflect the character and love of Christ and to share the gospel with a lost and dying world.
We believe that Christ will return just as he promised, to receive His bride (the church) and that all who have ever lived will be resurrected. Those that believed on the Lord Jesus Christ will be resurrected to eternal life with Him. Those that rejected Him will go to everlasting punishment in Hell.
Why do we believe these things?
Because this is what God’s word says and we stand on scripture alone.
